Oneness Pentecostalism is not Christian
Christianity throughout the ages has very distinctive things about it. The one thing all Christians of just about all times accepted, except for short bursts of heresy here and there (specifically Arianism), is belief in the Trinity. There were debates about the nature of the Trinity here and there, but you cannot deny the trinity and claim to be a Christian. Theologically, it is impossible. A lot of this stuff is theologically technical, but Oneness Pentecostals have more in common with Islam and Judaism than Christianity. Jesus is just Yahweh in the flesh – or Allah in the flesh. They do not believe that Jesus is really the Son of God in a Trinity. The words “Son of God” to them mean a big suit of flesh that God decided to put on so he could go down there and die on a Cross. Pretty stupid. And the Holy Ghost is God putting on some Ghost Suit and causing all kinds of chaos during church service like screaming, yelling and running around the church. God puts on different masks and does some crazy stuff – that is the Oneness Pentecostal God.
Since one’s concept of God reveals himself in one’s actions by imitation and modeling, their concept of God creates all this evil you find among Oneness Pentecostals. Their God is some monad, remote, isolated, lonely, and vindictive God who fools people with masks like “Father” “Son” and “Holy Ghost.” This lonely isolated god has emotional problems because he does not commune in a Trinity as the Christian God does. He is vindictive, capricious, and an instigator of chaos. In sum, their god is a demon. Demons create chaos. Many meanings of the word “hell” and “inferno” and “demonic” suggest chaos, horror and terror, which is exactly what the Oneness Pentecostal God produces. So, the irony is that they have made this single and isolated god the God of Christianity (in their minds) and basically call some idiot demon by the name of “Jesus.” And, by their fruits you shall know them, because they act and treat each other as their demonic god treats them: viciously and with all manner of insanity and evil.

Bravo! Great post! My heart aches for those caught in the Oneness trap. I have an ex-wife that has been there for years and she refuses to do a little research and look at anything other than what the UPC tells her. Oh, how I wish I could get her to see the light!
hmmm? i'm a christian too!
i've seen your point men. great post anyway. maybe you should try to push it simpler next time.
by the way im william i like and my favorite is big suit
If you look at the history prior to the heretical teaching of the trinity, you will see that true Christians were solely oneness. Do some true research and you will see that what you believe no matter how you try to explain it makes God three not one. Jesus is the express image of God's person, since He (God) is spirit He manifested himself in the flesh of Jesus Christ.
I was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost ten years ago and it has revolutionized my walk with God. Before then I was baptized as a teenager in the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost at a Baptist Church. I truelly did not feel a change at all. However, at the age of 30 when I was truelly filled with God's spirit and spoke in tongues with absolutely no prompting I knew from that moment until now what I was missing was the Spirit of Christ. There are "dead" churches all over America and the world because they refuse to believe the infilling of the Holy Ghost experience is not only for the beginning Church in Acts but that same pentecostal experience is for today. We are still in the New Testament age aren't we? The idea that the Holy Ghost experience somehow is "expired" today is why we have spirit-less, dead churches today. Listen to the greatest Holy Ghost preacher Pastor Steve Pixler at www.acfw.org and you will think differently about pentecost and its experience. We are to be true disciples of Christ and that means to believe in all that God has for us and believe every Word in the Bible. Get and receive everything God has for you.
Ouch!
I am willing to drop almost everything: the running, screaming, growning, tongue talking, rude nature of the penticostals but one thing I cannot drop is the oneness of God.
It was that likeness to Judeism that attracted me to them in the first place.
Can someone please explain how three persons can state: "I,the LORD,the first, and with the last,I am He...Fear thou not;for I am with thee, thought art My servant:I will strengthen thee;yea I will help thee;I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness....I am the LORD:that is My name...For I am the LORD thy God,the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour...Ye are My witnesses...that ye may know and believe Me,and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me...I,even I,am the LORD;and beside Me there is no saviour...I am the LORD,your Holy One,the Creator of Israel, your King...I am the first and the last;and beside Me there is no God...I am the LORD that maketh all things: that stretcheth forth the heavens ALONE;that spreadeth abroad the earth BY MYSELF.." Was God lying when He said He created all things "by Myself"? I would advise the writer of this post to take caution when placing demonic attributes and characteristics to what may possibly be that and the work of the Spirit of God. I agree that there are a great majority of false teachings, doctrines and many falling under a spell of Satan's deception. The writer of this post is understandably upset and disturbed over his experience with ungodly and unfruitful people who claimed to be Christian and under the denomination of Oneness Pentecostal. However,we'll find that people like that exist all over the Christendom globe. The fact is,the Scriptures teach that there is one God who is who He is by Himself. So how do we explain Jesus Christ and God the Father then? Most of us overlook what Christ always seemed to specifically state from time to time which is,"I came forth FROM THE FATHER..I HAVE COME OUT FROM THE FATHER.." and so on. Christ was called the Son of God at birth, but where was He before that? Well,if He CAME OUT OF THE FATHER,then it would confirm the obvious that indeed God created the world by Himself. Jesus Christ was God Himself.
continued from the last post...Notice what I said in the last statement: Jesus WAS God Himself, but here's the other part that the Oneness view seems to ignorantly overlook: This Son of God(coming out from the Father)became separate from the Father. That's not to say that Christ turned into something else. NO. God the Father spoke, and caused it, and IT came to be. The Son of God was existent only in prophecy, but the manifestation had yet to come at Bethlehem. In other words, that which was NOT,yet WHICH WAS WITH THE FATHER,EMBEDDED IN HIS BOSOM as the "counsel of His will"(Ephes.1:10-11,1 John 1:1,2,Hebrews 1:2,3)was not anything personable but THAT WORD WHICH WAS WORKING in the Father creating and upholding the universe. Understand,God the Father was alone and by Himself UNTIL a time came when He called the Son out from Himself to a day of manifestation: "Behold My servant whom I uphold!..I have put My Spirit upon Him.."
Richard W 4Christ...Jesus existed prior to the incarnation. How do you exegete Philippians 2:6-11. The text indicates action taken by Jesus, prior to his incarnation, and His equality with God prior to the incarnation. Jesus is NOT a created being. That's heresy.
God describes himself as three, if someone don't like it, he is free to go and make his own bible...
Oneness Pentecostal may want to look at where their incarnation doctrine come from. If is comes from Catholism then they are just another Catholic daughter organisation.
No debate there. Honestly research your teachings of the incarnation. Marely replacing God the Son with God the Father is not solving any new pagan concept.
Seek the truth!
Actually, Oneness Pentecostals are the only ones without Catholism roots. Only biblical roots. And God describes himself as WAYYYYYYYY more than 3 in the bible!!! But his name is JESUS and talking about a powerful name!!! It is!!! Do a little more research in the scriptures and try talking to Jesus. He will open up your eyes of understanding!!! Promise!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
IM A TONGUE TALKING TRINITY BELIEVER BAPTISED IN THE FATHER AND SON AND HOLY GHOST...YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE BAPTISED IN JESUS NAME TO RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST. I WASNT AND PRAY IN HOLY GHOST. ONENESS IS A STRAIGHT UP DECEPTION FROM HELL. THEY PICK AND CHOOSE PARTS OF THE BIBLE AND SAY JESUS IS NOT THE SAME YESTERDAY TODAY AND FOREVER. THEY WORSHIP WHAT PAUL SAID IN ACTS NOT CHRIST. LIKE THE KORAN THEY DENY JESUS IS THE BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD
Ok. Ive heard both sides but I know what I was taught growing up. I know what read in the Scriptures. The only thing I get out of is that God is One and He is Three, He is Three and He is One!!! Anyways, I'm hoping I can get some insight on here since it is from an ex-pentecostal. I hadn't never heard of the whole oneness thing till I heard it from a very good friend that I thought was good christian. It was insane. Her an I started to become close an she invited me to her church. I went not having no idea what to expect. I was used to Methodist an my mom warned me that they do a lot of jumping an juking around. I was raised to be respectful in church, which I still believe, unless the Spirit moves you to do whatever It wants. I've went a few times to her main church an once to a sister church in another town. The people seem friendly enough but every time it just felt that something wasn't right. The first time at the main church, the preacher came up at the beginning and was real nice till the part of the service when you're supposed to get up jump around and throw your arms and wail like a crazy person. Of course, I stood there respectfully with my hands folded in front of me with my head down. I never would consider holding it against them if they felt compelled to so by the Holy Spirit. Oh, and not once did they bring up they believed God to be. I caught the preachers looking me over and it seemed to me that when they seen I wasn't the sort to jump and juke around, it was like I wasn't even there after that. They didn't come over after the service to talk or anything. The whole thing didn't feel right. Like they thought I wasn't good enough to be in their church. Well me and this girl got close twice to the point I was thinking, she'd be a mighty good girl to marry. An both times she claimed that God told her at service, when she was up front an the preacher come around an laid his hands on her, the same one that thought I was no good, that she was to cut all ties with me. She told me that after the second time we got close that she was wanting to take some of her life back an that's why she wanted us. But she gave her whole life to God an there was no way she was going against it. An I'm not saying that's a bad thing. But I stood there an watched the brainwashing occur. I seen it with my own two eyes. She told me that her heart just wasn't in us because that's not God has laid out. It's more like that's not what the preacher has laid out. I told her heart was with brainwashing church that has her confused. An she said honestly that if I could find something that her church was teaching that wasn't biblical she'd leave. Of course the first big thing is the oneness thing, an it's bad for woman to feel anything for a man. There's others but I'll not list them too. The more I read an the more research I did the more I see what a cult it is. An how totally un-christian it is. I care too much about her to see her continue in that church. She joined that church after dad passed away an she was at a vulnerable stage in her life an the preacher seen it an sucked her in lock, stock an barrel!! How do I get her out???? How do I convince her that she's brainwashed an not thinking straight??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Can you name an early church writer who said that Jesus is the Father?
